Welcome to the ADAA

The ADAA has been created as a not for profit organisation that’s goal is to identify programs, therapies, individuals and groups that are able to help people in the community affected by Stress Related health issues including depression and anxiety.

ADAA works to bring these groups together so that services may be accessed in a timely and affordable manner by those afflicted and to encourage the ‘sharing’ of information.

We seek individual, business and government support to work towards achievement of these common goals.

The ADAA offers a variety of membership types, from public to professional. Click on the members tab for further details.

Update 24th June, 2010

What started off as a simple idea is now growing. When the group of founders thought of the idea of creating the ADAA it was to help spread ideas for solutions for things that really work in the area of stress related illness. Over the last six months we have received support from people from so many quarters like Fountainhead Retreat and its affiliated companies, Senator Furner and the Ride Against Depression team - we have been more than impressed.

In February we decided that with this growth, it would be better to incorporate and become a fully registered Association. In Australia, it is not a legal requirement to do this, but we feel we are destined for bigger and better things so in respect of Corporate Governance, we feel this is a positive step.

We have now applied for this recognition and expect its approval by Fair Trading by 14 July.
